Nearly three years later…

The healing process continues and it’s been nearly 3 years since my chest surgery with Dr. Brownstein. The scars continue to fade. Photos were taken on 9 May, 2011.

It’s been 9 months…

Below are pictures taken on June 7, 2009 – approximately 9 months ago. I got spray-tanned for a Vegas trip! I still put a lot of sunscreen on the scars to be safe and kept a tanktop on when I was sitting out in the sun. It’s best to stay out of direct sunlight for 6-12 months after surgery. I will always put sunscreen on the scars because I definitely don’t want them to get darker.

Below are chest pics taken on March 20. 2009. Not to be too gross, but you can see an ingrown hair in one of the nipple close-ups. (It was in my right nipple for several days and then worked itself out.)

After two and a half weeks…

Below are chest pictures taken about 2 1/2 weeks after surgery. The surgical tape has been removed and you can still see the doctor’s ink marks from the pre-surgery prep.

Here are a few photos taken after my chest surgery in early September ’08 (little over a week post-surgery). The sutures have been removed and the tape on the incisions will be removed in a few days.
